It's a rustic dish that requires little effort, a sprinkle, a dash, and some cubed butter and you're golden. If you have fresh picked berries and maple syrup from a friend's backyard even better, but sugar and frozen berries work too!
Here's the round about way to make a gluten free berry crisp, but there are no rules here:
Fill the dish with berries
Sprinkle in a tablespoon or two of all purpose GF flour
A squirt of vanilla
Some sugar (1/4 -1/2 cup?)
Mix together equal parts certified GF oats and GF flour (1/2 cup each or so) a bloop of maple syrup and 6-8 tablespoons of butter and crumble the mixture on top of the fruit.
I baked mine at 375° for about 35 minutes. But keep an eye on it because the oats will crisp up quickly, you may need to cover it to finish cooking the berries.
