Snacks & Sides

I feel as the kids get older the snack making has dwindled (hallelujah!) And I feel like our sides are often simple things like green beans, roasted mushrooms, some form of potatoes, or a homemade gluten free bread, so this section may take some time to grow.

Gluten Free Snacks

Snacks: Don't overthink or overspend here. Gluten Free fruit gummies, clementines, apples, grapes, berries, cut up raw veggies, cheese sticks, beef jerky, meat sticks, gluten free pretzels, apple sauce pouches, these and more are all snacks, just be sure the packaged snacks you buy are indeed the gluten free kind.

Sides: Again, don't fret, this is easier than you may realize. Mashed potatoes, Veggies of all varieties: raw, roasted, from the can, from the freezer - you get the picture. Rice, Baked Beans (look for the gluten free label), fruit salad, side salads, mac and cheese, the possibilities are basically endless.

Breads: Yes! You can have delicious homemade bread again, and it will be easy to make! * I use Bob's 1 for 1 or King Arthur Measure for Measure in all my recipes that call for "GF flour".

This Peasant Bread recipe was shared with me by a church family member and our lives have been changed for the better because of it! I once made this for a newly gluten free neighbor, he ate half a loaf himself with dinner. He now gest a loaf each time we make this recipe. https://alexandracooks.com/2014/03/21/gluten-free-peasant-bread/
